Often when I have a new citation I like to see which of my papers was cited and why. In many cases someone is writing about an advancement to a problem I was working on, so it’s interesting to see the new results. The other day when I was doing this, I noticed that my last name was left off the reference completely! The authors are from Korea, and I’m wondering if I’ve done something to anger the country. Only a few years ago a whole section of one of my papers was plagiarized by a Korean author. Hmmm … what did I say?! Well, it seems that most of us had our last names chopped off, so this is a problem with the journal formatting.
